Skin 2 Skin Care Ken Simpson Skin Expert: Skin Care Regiment For Melasma, Dark Spots
Hello Ken,
What skin care regiment do you advice for light melasma?
So far I have been using the photoaging and wrinkle cream for the past 3 months and I am seeing some results.
Do you advice anything else?
Thank you,
Ladan.
Hi Ladan,
As you know melasma can be caused by hormones estrogen and progesterone, oral contraceptives, and that appears on sun-exposed areas of the face.
Photoaging Repair Cream is perfect for this problem. As it has two peptides that work to correct this issue; with continued twice a day use, without sun sensitivity and all skin tones. The Kinetin-N6 is equal to achieving the same results as Retinal and we do have Vitamin A (Retinal) in the product to help achieve the best results. Also Melanostatine-5 is a peptide that blocks the enzyme that causes the skin to darken causing melasma. Please use this product twice a day to achieve the best result.
I use the Photoaging Repair Cream and the 24/7 Rejuvenation twice a day.Applying the Photoaging Repair Cream first and taking a moment to massage (light touch) into the skin and then apply my 24/7 Rejuvenation which are both a lightening cream then the Anti-Wrinkle Night Repair Cream. Together they are the perfect combination for this issue. This product has in it Melanostatine-5, Tego-Pep 4-17 to increase collagen matrix production (2.5 fold) HyaCare50 builds Hyaluronic Acid up to 35%, and Eukarion 134 that is in the Wrinkle cream helping the skin to function years younger.
The regime that I recommend is to:
- Cleanse
- Revitalizing Eye Gel that reduces puffy eyes by 32%, dark circles by 35% increasing the circulation around the eye preventing the pooling of blood causing the dark circles, long term. Also increases collagen production around the eyes and cools them. The product does not travel so your makeup stays in place.
- Photoaging Repair Cream – lightly massage it into the skin then apply
- 24/7 Rejuvenation Cream – lightly massaging it in, just takes a couple of seconds
- Apply a 30 SPF and then your Makeup
- 6. Night repeat 1 though 4
You can also exfoliate your skin every day with our Oatmeal & Pomegranate Face Scrub because it is a gentle, cleanser built (no need to use cleanser before and after). Exfoliation for melasma is important but don’t use AHA’s they will cause sun sensitivity, and destroy your skins barrier which you don’t want.
stay out of the sun as much as possible. If you love being outdoors use a SPF 30 and look at using mineral makeup because it will help reflect the sun rays but it is not a sun screen. If you find a mineral makeup with SPF built would be even better.
If you’re interested in a medical procedure an IPL Laser Treatment are very successful. You well need no less than 3 treatments once a month and they run around $500.00 a treatment. You well also need to have between the treatments every seconded week after the treatment a Dermabrasion treatment and facial adding another $400.00 to $500.00 to the total cost of the IPL treatment. Once your treatments are completed you will need a once a year follow up treatment and a Dermabrasion two weeks later. You can never go without SPF 30 once you have received a laser treatment.
Pre and Post home tratment follow the exact regiment above to receive the best results from the IPL treatment. It well repair the skin quickly, with copper peptide and anti-inflammation ingredients after the treatment and help prevent future damage.
